Annotation
The intention to develop the Master's degree program Finance is based on three levels, transnational, where it respects the principles and recommendations of the Bologna Process in relation to compliance with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the starting points of the Strategic Framework for European Cooperation in Education and Training. (ET 2020), national, when in accordance with the Long-term plan of educational and scientific, research, development and innovation, artistic and other creative activities for universities for the period 2016 - 2020 and Government Regulation No. 274/2016 Coll., Of on 24 August 2016 on standards for accreditation in higher education, and local, when the conditions of development of the study program correspond to the intentions stated in the Long-term plan of educational and scientific, research, development and other creative activities of FaME TBU in Zlín for 2016-2020.
Admission requirements
Only the applicants who have completed a Bachelor's degree may be accepted and enrolled in the study. The condition for admission is the successful completion of the entrance exam. The entrance exam is written. The candidate will submit a written essay in English on a selected topic. The scope of the essay is set at 2,500 - 3,000 words.

As part of completing the subjects of the Corporate Finance specialization, the graduate will gain additional professional knowledge, including the following: The graduate knows the current trends and individual modern tools and methods of managerial accounting for economic management of the organization and providing quality information for managers, has advanced knowledge of controlling methods and tools, knows the principles and methods of valuing and managing the value of the company, is familiar with the issues of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and liquidation of companies, has knowledge of money and capital markets, can analyze their impact on the capital structure of organizations and the cost of capital, knows the field of investment banking, is familiar with the issues of insurance operations, masters the issue of global aspects of international trade and payment instruments, is familiar with the issue of hedging instruments in foreign trade, knows the practices of financial reporting, masters the matters of financial reporting, is familiar with the issues of international accounting and auditing, has advanced knowledge of taxation and financial law. As part of completing the subjects of the Corporate Finance specialization, the graduate will acquire additional professional skills as follows: The graduate can independently assess and evaluate the property and capital structure of the organization and determine and justify the method of its financing concerning performance and cost-effectiveness, can apply advanced cost management tools, compile cost and price calculations using advanced management accounting methods, can apply controlling tools for effective business management, can determine the value of the company and identify the factors that affect it, can analyze the situation in the financial markets and apply it to managerial decisions of business management, can use banking and insurance market instruments for financing and risk management of the company, can fulfill the tax obligations of the organization, can prepare statements according to IFRS.
Expected career prospects
The graduate of the specialization Corporate Finance has advanced knowledge of corporate finance, controlling, tax and accounting aspects of business practice. From the point of view of specialization, employment is expected, for example, in the positions of a financial manager, controller or analyst in industrial companies, commercial companies, financial institutions or non-profit organizations.
