Annotation
The intention to develop the Master's degree program Finance is based on three levels, transnational, where it respects the principles and recommendations of the Bologna Process in relation to compliance with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the starting points of the Strategic Framework for European Cooperation in Education and Training. (ET 2020), national, when in accordance with the Long-term plan of educational and scientific, research, development and innovation, artistic and other creative activities for universities for the period 2016 - 2020 and Government Regulation No. 274/2016 Coll., Of on 24 August 2016 on standards for accreditation in higher education, and local, when the conditions of development of the study program correspond to the intentions stated in the Long-term plan of educational and scientific, research, development and other creative activities of FaME TBU in Zlín for 2016-2020.
Admission requirements
Only the applicants who have completed a Bachelor's degree may be accepted and enrolled in the study. The condition for admission is the successful completion of the entrance exam. The entrance exam is written. The candidate will submit a written essay in English on a selected topic. The scope of the essay is set at 2,500 - 3,000 words.

Graduate profile
As part of completing the subjects of the Financial Markets and Technologies specialization, the graduate will gain additional professional knowledge as follows: The graduate has knowledge of money and capital markets, can analyze their impact on the capital structure of organizations and the cost of capital, knows the methods and procedures of trading on capital markets and portfolio creation, is familiar with the impact of behavioral factors on investment decisions, understands the principles of fundamental and technical analysis, masters the issue of global aspects of international trade and payment instruments, is familiar with the issue of hedging instruments in foreign trade, knows the practices of financial reporting, has advanced knowledge of investment banking and financial engineering, is familiar with the issue of insurance operations, knows the field of digitization and financial technologies and their applications in the management of business entities and financial institutions, understands the issues of blockchain technology, artificial intelligence and perspectives of their further potential use, is familiar with the issues of market, business and financial risk management. As part of completing the subjects of the Financial Markets and Technologies specialization, the graduate will acquire additional professional skills as follows: The graduate can analyze the situation in financial markets and apply it to managerial decisions, can use tools of fundamental and technical analysis in investment decision-making in financial markets, can trade on capital markets and compile an investment portfolio, can evaluate the effectiveness of investments, can analyze and use banking and insurance market instruments, can determine the value of the company and the factors that affect it can apply and use advanced financial technologies in the management system of business entities and financial institutions can classify and evaluate risks and propose measures for their effective management.
Expected career prospects
The graduate of the specialization Financial Markets and Technologies has advanced knowledge of financial markets, investments and portfolio creation, the banking sector, fintech and its applications. From the point of view of specialization, employment is expected, for example, in the positions of an investment specialist, foreign exchange manager, corporate banker, credit risk analyst, back-office specialist, portfolio manager, fintech analyst, project manager for the application of financial technologies, especially in banks, insurance companies, investment funds, fintech companies, or in the financial departments of companies in the field of industry, trade and services.
