Educational goals
The aim of the doctoral study program is to educate highly qualified experts for scientific careers in security professions at the academic level (university, Academy of Sciences), in state administration and in entities dealing with security, population protection, security technologies of information systems and buildings. The study is clearly academically oriented, to an independent analysis of complex problems, work with the current state of knowledge, creation of new methods, concepts and solutions, their verification and presentation, especially to the professional public.
Admission requirements
Graduates who have completed their university education at the Master´s degree level and have fulfilled the requirements for the admission procedure may be accepted for a Ph.D. program. Their education must be compatible with the study program for which the applicant applies in terms of content. The entrance exam is an integral part of the admission procedure. The Dean of FAI will set the form, day and place of the Entrance Exams. The entrance exam is managed by the Admission Committee.

Graduate profile
Graduates of the doctoral study program Security Technologies, Systems and Management will gain theoretical knowledge in the field of security and safety technologies at the current world level. He will gain knowledge mainly in the areas of: forensic techniques, electronics in security technologies and EMC, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and multimedia data processing, protection of critical infrastructure and soft targets, systems engineering, security management. In addition to searching for and continuously monitoring scientific knowledge, the graduate will learn to create and publish new scientific results at the international level. He will be able to critically assess the results of scientific or other highly qualified professional work, including his own results. They will be able to use the correct methods of scientific work, including adherence to ethical approaches in handling scientific results. He will be able to apply newly developed scientific methods, procedures and tools to solve specific problems. He will gain significant practical experience in working on scientific projects and will actively participate in their preparation and submission. At the same time, they will gain pedagogical experience, experience with the presentation of professional results, they will learn to discuss them in a qualified manner, especially in English.
Expected career prospects
The prerequisite for applicability is mainly the fact that the teaching of doctoral studies is focused on selected current topics in the field. The study has the character of research work and is from the beginning focused on solving a specific research topic. In addition to the basic obligations, ie adherence to the study plan, students will also participate in the teaching of selected subjects related to the studied issues, they will publish the results of their research activities in journals and conferences. If possible, they will complete short-term internships at home and abroad. Students of the doctoral study program will be led to independently present and present the results of their research at an international forum during the above-mentioned study stays abroad and conferences. An important profile goal is also to build the personality traits of the graduate, such as the ability to work in a team, responsibility for their work and their actions, desire for further self-education. In accordance with the graduate profile, the graduates of the program will use both deep theoretical knowledge and deep and specialized analytical skills in roles focused on critical evaluation of new knowledge, development of the field, academic education, creating innovative solutions or decision-making and long-term project management.
